Can I choose any design for my memorial?
Review the Cemetery Regulations-
Some cemeteries have regulations or bylaws that determine the style, size or material of a memorial that can be placed at a grave site. While Spartan Stone & Monument is aware of the majority of these in the area we regularly service, we recommend you check with those responsible for the operation of the cemetery to determine if any such regulations are in effect.

How do I care for my memorial?
Like any material continually exposed to our atmospheric conditions, the granite monument you purchased might require some periodic maintenance. Never use waxes or polish on the granite. A window-cleaning agent, with a soft cloth, can be used to clean the surface of the stone. For more stubborn dirt, you could try scrubbing the surface of the stone using a soft bristle brush (NOT WIRE) with a solution of three to four tablespoons of automatic dishwasher soap in a quart of water. Cleaning using liquid CLR (see label for directions) may be an alternative. The granite MUST BE THOROUGHLY RINSED with clean water to remove any wash solution. NOTE: use eye protection when using the cleaning materials. Care must be exercised with photos or other items attached to the granite memorial as damage can occur. The cemetery lawns and grounds should also be respected and protected so damage does not result from the cleaning products used No guarantee of cleaning success is implied with this information. Damage from incorrect cleaning processes or materials may void the guarantee. A monument can be professionally cleaned and we would be pleased to assist you.
